CabinetMaker+FDM is launching a new series of webinars designed to give woodworking businesses the tools they need now to meet the challenges of the current economy.
“Woodworking businesses large and small have been really hit hard by the recession, and they aren’t getting the help they need to compete,” says CabinetMaker+FDM editor William Sampson. “We want to do something about that.”
First webinar is free
Kicking off the series will be a free online seminar titled “Pricing to compete in today’s market.”
This webinar will talk about practical and pragmatic ways custom shops can approach pricing to be more competitive. It will cover such issues as pricing to fit the market, effective costing to avoid unprofitable bids, analyzing competitor’s pricing, and dealing with pressure from lowball competitors and deal-hungry customers.
Scheduled for April 22 at 2 p.m. ET the one hour interactive event will include presentations, audio, and plenty of opportunity for questions and answers.
More topics to come
The webinar on competitive pricing is just the beginning. Future topics scheduled include marketing for your shop to build business, getting started with lean, how to calculate return on investment, and tips for automating your operation.
These subsequent webinars are tentatively scheduled on a monthly basis and will carry a nominal registration fee of $39.95.
“The key is you don’t even have to leave your office to take advantage of these powerful information tools,” says Sampson.
