The new CabinetMaker+FDM product database is brand new and offers many features for the woodworking market. It is also the most comprehensive database of woodworking products.
Perhaps the most important new feature is that visitors on the site can offer their own comments and criticisms for each product. This is a brand new feature and is available nowhere else in the woodworking market.
In addition, the search function on the site itself has been upgraded and is superior to the search function on the old site.
More than 2,000 products
There are 2,143 products listed and organized by subject. There are another 600 or so older products that can be accessed but won’t show up in a query of a category. We only found fewer than 850 products on another woodworking site.
We’ve also streamlined the product categories to make the database easier to use, and we eliminated dozens of categories to make searches easier to do.
Products are organized into 10 broad categories: machinery, tooling, small equipment, decorative hardware, functional hardware, supplies, parts and components, finishing and technology. Each general category has from four to 11 subcategories.
Easy to search
You can search by subcategory and see all the products in that section, or sort by company. Your search will also produce products related to your search terms.
You can sort by relevance or by date, and you can email product information to a friend, print out individual product information, including the product description, image, and company contact information, all on one page.
