Brightly color-coded carts help to keep parts separate and organized WUD in Cabinetry in Galveston, Texas.
Keeping organized is important to Richard Blum of WUD in Cabinetry in Galveston, Texas, so he developed a system of color-coded shop carts. Each of his custom built carts is painted a different color and is dedicated to a different use.
For example, the blue cart might be stacked with base cabinet sides, the yellow cart with wall cabinet tops and bottoms, and the green cart with base cabinet nailers. As the parts go through whatever machining steps in the shop, they ride on a single color cart until final assembly, when the assembler knows what parts are needed by the color of the cart.
