Release Date:
So far, 512 exhibitors have registered to attend Xylexpo 2012 (www.xylexpo.com), the biennial international exhibition of woodworking technology and furniture industry supplies, to be held Tuesday, May 8 to Saturday, May 12.
Xylexpo, which will be held at the FieraMilano Rho Fairgrounds in Italy, will see nearly 35 percent of exhibitors coming from abroad, mainly from Germany, China and Turkey, organizers say. Based on numbers from pre-registration, which ended April 12, the exhibition will have nearly 50,000 visitors.
Exhibitions will span more than 344,000 square feet and four halls. Panel processing machines and technology will be exhibited in Halls 1 and 3; Hall 2 will feature solid wood machining solutions; and Hall 4 is dedicated to suppliers and primary operation equipment and solutions.
Organizers say the exhibition will effectively show that there are possible answers to doing business in tough economic times, represented by better-performing and less energy-hungry machines, technology that can integrate several operations into one production cycle, and equipment manufactured with great attention to the composition of parts and aggregates to generate scale economies. New to Xylexpo 2012, the “MatchMaking” platform will provide a tool to help visitors plan their meetings with exhibitors and plan agendas during the exhibition.
