According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported cabinet sales of $4.4 billion for 2011, down 1.7 percent compared to total cabinet sales for 2010.
Stock cabinet sales decreased 3.2 percent in 2011 from 2010; semi-custom sales remained the same as in 2010; and custom sales fell 3 percent from 2010.
December 2011 monthly cabinet sales were down 1.9 percent compared to December 2010. Stock cabinet sales fell 1.7 percent from November 2011, semi-custom sales fell 0.7 percent, and custom sales dropped 9.3 percent compared to December 2010. For more on the survey, please visit www.kcma.org.
Q: We will store assembled, finished bath vanities and medicine cabinets in cardboard cartons in an unheated warehouse throughout the coldest months of the year (below zero).
