Final figures from the Acimall Studies Office show that Italian production of woodworking technology in 2010 increased 1.542 million Euros, or 25.6 percent, over 2009. Exports increased 21.7 percent in 2010, and apparent consumption grew 38.3 percent for the same period.
Although the gain was impressive, Acimall points out that 2009 had been a very weak year. Italian production is still at about 75 percent of pre-recession annual sales. Meanwhile, imports, especially from China and Germany, increased in 2010.
For the future, Acimall's survey indicates a positive producton trend and more exports. For more information go to Acimall.
