EMI Industries announced it will open a manufacturing location and sales office in Arlington, Texas, which will house the company's CAD/CAM and CNC equipment. The 66,000-square-foot millwork and architectural woodworking facility will be lead by L.Keith Grant as vice president and general manager.
“This new facility will compliment EMI’s growth strategy by serving our customers in a geographic proximity to their current business base. For our customers east of the Mississippi, this expansion gives EMI broader purchasing power and increases our capabilities. It’s a win for everyone,” said Alan Harvill, chief executive of EMI Industries.
Before coming to EMI, Grant was the former president of Merchandising Equipment Inc. in Atlanta, and has created fixture and merchandizing solutions for a number of large retailers and designer shops, including Macy’s and Polo Ralph Lauren.
“Keith is a pioneer in the industry. His 30 plus years of experience incorporates project management, engineering, sales and operational management skills," Harvill said. "That blend of experience lends itself to great leadership and a solid knowledge base of the strengths EMI brings to the table for retailers. We look to his breadth of relationships and his hard work ethic to help EMI continue the move west."
