The Cabinet Makers Association (www.cabinetmakers.org) has announced its new officers for the 2012-13 year, selecting Tracy Yarborough of Maple River Woodworks in Coward, S.C., to serve as president.
Yarborough has been a longstanding volunteer member on the CMA board and received a 2011 Wood Diamond award in 2011. Charles Kurak, of C. Kurak Custom Woodworking Inc. in Amelia Island, Fla., was elected as vice president. Kurak has served as an at-large member of the board for several years and as CMA's webmaster.
Joe Knobbe, of Exclusive Woodworking in Waukegan, Ill., and immediate past CMA president, will serve as CMA secretary; and Brian Dirks, of Cabinet Designs LLC in Jamesport, Mo., was elected to serve as treasurer.
Also serving on the CMA's volunteer board of directors as members at large for 2012-13 are the following CMA members: Frank Cmejla, C&C Millworks Co. Inc.; Scott Comstock, Woodperfect Custom Cabinetry; Keith Kreppein, Olde Saratoga Millwork; and Dave Grulke, executive director, who will continue in his role as managing day-to-day operations.
