Release Date:
Members of the Association for Retail Environments will learn how to take advantage of the "real recovery" at the 55th Annual A.R.E. Convention, Nov. 10-13, 2010, in Rancho Mirage, Calif. For the fourth straight year, Alan Beaulieu, president and principle of the Institute for Trend Research (ITR), returns to the convention as the keynote speaker.
Beaulieu will provide short-term and long-term economic forecasts and how those forecasts will impact members' organizations. He will detail ITR's predictions on how the economy will grow with emphasis on the retail environments industry and its future prospects.
Members also will hear about opportunities for growth as the retail panel cite examples of how their vendors have responded to the turns in the economy. The panel will detail ways to get the attention of retailers, what defines a preferred vendor and what should be done to establish a long-term, profitable relationship.
Panelists include Larry Parnell, vice president of restaurant development, Panda Restaurant Group Inc. and Bob Waddell, vice president, construction/purchasing operations, Limited Brands Inc.
There will also be breakout sessions highlighting trends in retail design and the evolution in healthcare and networking opportunities.
