The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and its sponsors are now accepting entries to the 2011 NKBA Design Competition.
This annual industry competition honors designers from across the U.S. and Canada who show exceptional aptitude for the incorporation of technology, beauty and creativity into their residential design solutions. The entries are judged by NKBA-certified experts in nine room categories: small kitchen, medium kitchen, large kitchen, open plan kitchen, powder room, small bathroom, large bathroom, master bathroom and showroom. Entries may also be judged for the "Best Of" awards, in the categories of Best Kitchen and Bathroom, Best Before & After for Kitchen and Bathroom, and Best Sustainable Kitchen and Bathroom. New to the competition this year are the "Budget-Friendly" Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, which acknowledge exceptional designs that implement cost-effective solutions.
Cash prizes will be awarded in amounts of up to $15,000 and winners will attend an exclusive luncheon ceremony. Competition results will be announced on April 26 at the NKBA’s 2011 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas. Entry forms and contest rules can found online.
