Franklin International says Titebond translucent wood glue makes glue lines fade as they dry for a virtually invisible look. The glue has a working time of four to six minutes, a short clamp time and a high heat resistance once dry, according to the company. The non-toxic glue is available in 8- and 16-ounce bottles.
Z solvent-free, postformable adhesive from ITW TACC is a high-strength contact adhesive that bonds high-pressure laminate, particleboard, MDF and other substrates. It has Greenguard Children and Schools certification, because it is nonflammable and contains no VOCs, HAPs or solvents.
Titebond Fluorescent Wood Glue from Franklin International contains a fluorescent additive that allows a woodworker to detect glue marks or smudges by shining a black light over the wood surface. The residual glue can be sanded away, leaving the piece stain-ready. The glue is available in one-gallon cans for smaller shops, as well as five- and 55-gallon containers.
